As one of the largest tuna canning factories in Asia, the plant has a large number of employees and manufacturing machines, which brings a substantial demand for reliable power for the factory, which make the factory install a solar plant on the rooftop.Since PV modules generate high DC voltage whenever there is sunlight, often exceeding 1,000V in series connections, any electrical accident could lead to significant losses.
To ensure safe and reliable operation, the project is equipped with 1152 units AndSolar Smart Rapid Shutdown Device AMCL. With AndSolar module-level rapid shutdown, which allows the system to shutdown in time — preventing risk from expanding and protecting the factory’s safety and property.
While located in the tropical zone and situated near the coastline of Thailand, which means this factory faces harsh environmental conditions — Consistently high temperatures throughout the year, with high humidity and airborne salt. These challenges place high demands on the corrosion resistance and stability of the PV system. Thanks to the IP68 ingress protection rating and outstanding durability, which ensures stable operation even in high-humidity coastal environments.
Cooperating with the AndCloud platform, the O&M team can monitor voltage, current, real-time power, power generation, and temperature in real time, allowing the O&M team to avoid frequent rooftop inspections and manual module-by-module checks. When abnormal data occurs, the system issues automatic alerts and accurately locates the issue, enabling the O&M team to respond promptly — ensuring the safe operation of the PV system.
Powered by AndSolar, the PV plant remains stable and secure even in harsh coastal conditions — ensuring long-term, reliable clean energy for the factory.
