In the International Chemical Industrial Park of Zhangjiagang City, an internationally renowned paint factory has commissioned a 494.76 kW PV carport project. This initiative aims to achieve energy conservation, emission reduction, and optimization of the park's energy structure. Operating under the "self-consumption with surplus electricity feeding into the grid" model, the project seamlessly integrates the PV system with the carport structure. It successfully provides employees with parking and charging services for their vehicles while contributing green electricity to the industrial park.
As a typical application of Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), the PV carport achieves deep integration of the power generation system with the building structure. It delivers multiple functions, including sunshade, rain protection, and energy supply. However, compared to traditional power stations, this tightly integrated design also presents new challenges.
Addressing these complex challenges, AndSolar provided a holistic smart energy solution for the project. The deployment includes 383 units of AMCL smart rapid shutdown devices and 7 units of ADCU gateways, all connected to the AndSolar Cloud platform for comprehensive intelligent management of the power station.
The AndSolar Cloud generates a 1:1 digital twin model of the power station, enabling precise monitoring of every individual module. When system anomalies occur, the platform triggers immediate alarms and pinpoints the exact location of faulty components. This significantly reduces O&M response time, lowers maintenance costs, and enhances management efficiency. Management personnel can monitor key operational parameters—such as voltage, current, power, energy yield, and temperatures—in real-time via computers or mobile devices. This facilitates efficient control and data-driven decision-making for the PV carport system, ensuring its long-term stable operation.
