On August 8, AndSolar, in collaboration with Aiko, Sigenergy, and Kseng Solar, grandly hosted a conference in Bangkok, Thailand. Under the theme "NEW ENERGY NEW FUTURE". The event brought together the industry representatives, project developers, and technical experts from Thailand to discuss innovation in renewable energy technologies and their localized applications.
As a leader in the PV Module-Level Power Electronics (MLPE) field, AndSolar presented brand-new solutions and product demos to the specific needs of the Thai market, taking into account regulatory requirements, application scenarios, and market trends.
At the conference, the AndSolar team shared insights into Thailand’s PV market regulations and practical applications. AndSolar sales manager Mookkie noted that the Thai Electrical Code: Solar Rooftop Power Supply Installations 2022 mandates that all rooftop PV projects must be equipped with rapid shutdown devices. These devices must reduce the voltage within 300mm of the module to below 80V within 30 seconds of activation, and reduce the voltage beyond that range to below 30V. This regulation is now strictly enforced in Thailand, especially for C&I projects, where it has become a critical requirement for grid connection approval.
While Thailand’s distributed PV market is developing rapidly, the industry still faces multiple challenges. In addition to safety issues mandated by regulations, there are persistent problems such as the difficulty and high O&M cost of traditional plants, as well as mismatch losses caused by shading. For the MLPE sector, issues such as installation convenience, communication stability, and flexibility of compatibility are also becoming increasingly prominent. In response to these both new and long-standing pain points, AndSolar remains focused and continues to invest in technological innovation to deliver solutions that better meet local market demands.

These not only meet the stringent rapid shutdown requirements set by Thai regulations, but also deliver comprehensive upgrades in safety, intelligence, installation convenience, compatibility, flexibility, and power generation efficiency.
At the event, AndSolar and its local Thai partners completed the distributor certificate awarding ceremony, further strengthening their cooperation in module-level solution implementation and market expansion. This also laid a solid foundation for advancing more projects in Thailand in the future.
